The bike rack has many features to provide a safe and easy transport of multiple bikes using class two, three and four receivers. When you are not using the Turtleback bicycle carrier, the swivel arm folds inward, and the two support arms fold down to make the carrier compact. Easy-grip strong turn knobs make tilting and operating the carrier easy. The black powder-coating on every piece of the system not only looks great, but will last a long time.

Weighing in at 26 pounds, the hitch mount bike carrier rack tilts freely into the first position and is locked in the second position at 90 degrees so you can access whatever is in the bed or trunk of your vehicle.  The hitch mount platform is 38 inches by 26 inches and is used with 1 1/4th inch for class II trailer hitches and 2 inches for class III and IV trailer hitches.  The bottom of the carrier has room for three bikes, that are 26 inches wide, and has four inch spacing to fit three inch wide tires.  The three inch wide tire wells have three tie points; the three tie-down points let you adjust your bike into position for securing. Those 18 inch tie straps are provided for securing your bikes into place and to give you safety and peace of mind while driving that your bikes will not come loose or fall off. The two 26 inch tall arms stand upward providing you with more tie down space; the two arms are adjustable up to 90 degrees to help safely hold your bike. They also have three inch thick foam padding  to keep from metal on metal contact. The swivel arm is 10.5 inches long and moves around 360 degrees; at the end of the swivel arm is the 2.5 inch swivel grip. The easy grip turn knobs make it safe and easy for you to tilt the arms on the carrier.
