Thule’s Glide & Set is a combination of their Set-to-Go [THU0026] and Hydro Glide [THU0025] saddles along with two ratcheting tie-down straps. This Glide and Set kayak rack offers an excellent combination of easy kayak loading and unloading and great snug and secure kayak grip during transport. The Glide & Set can be attached to almost any rack system, factory or otherwise, and has everything you need to carry your kayak right out of the box. This rooftop kayak offers maximum stability and security when transporting your kayak year round.
The 883 Glide and Set combines the Thule Hydro Glide with the Thule Set-to-Go to provide a complete kayak loading and transportation system for kayaks weighing up to 75 pounds, with a width of 36 inches, and an 11 inch hull depth. Included in this kit is one pair of hydro-glide saddles for the rear load bar and one pair of Set to Go saddles for the front load bar. The Hydro-Glide pad measures 7.5 inches by almost 4 inches, and the saddle rubber pad measures 9.25 inches tall by a little over 5 inches in width. The soft, adjustable saddle provides maximum protection and security, while it has a large surface area with six times more coverage than roller style racks. The felt-lined saddle is low friction for smooth loading. Allowing for maximum conformity to the kayaks hull, the Thule 883′s unique design and the configuration of the Glide and Set provides ample roof space to have two kayak carriers installed, and it allows for hassle-free loading with 1 or 2 people. Also included in this rooftop rack are two load straps that secure the boat as well as Thule’s QuickDraw ratchet system which lets you do away with bungee cords.
