Hello, my name is Peggy and I am the Customer Service Manager for Discount Ramps. I have been with the company for almost 8 years, and I have worn many hats over the years. My current job responsibilities are to work with our customers to make sure their experience with Discount Ramps is a positive one. Happy customers = return customers.
The most fulfilling part of my job is being able to help our customers find an item that will possibly improve their quality of life. We work with a lot of medical or health type situations where wheelchair ramps or lifts are required for our customers. For some customers, a wheelchair ramp allows them to be able to leave their house and no longer be confined.
My main job responsibility is to help a customer if they are having issues with their purchase. It could be that the item was damaged in shipping or it is just not compatible with their vehicle or application. We try to make the return or exchange process as easy as possible for our customers. Discount Ramps also stands behind the products, so if there is an issue with the quality we take care of it.
I think the best thing about working at Discount Ramps is the team of employees that we have. It truly is a team effort and all departments work really well together. This is by far the best place where I have been employed.
I joined the team in March of 2004 after being in the printing industry for over 12 years. I was given the opportunity and ran with it. When I first started there were only about 7 employees and now we have 40. We have experienced tremendous growth over the years and are very thankful for it.
Outside of work I enjoy reading, biking, walking and family camping. We camped a lot as kids growing up but then got out of it. We are now finding a new appreciation for it. I do not have children of my own, but I do have 2 nephews and 7 nieces and I love spending time with them all.
Hi, my name is Michelle! I have been working in Customer Service for Discount Ramps.Com since May 2008. I work directly with customers who call or email looking for information on orders, returns or if they have a problem. I also handle sales and shipping issues as well.
The best part of the position is the customers. It sounds cliche being a customer service rep, but they really are. I love being able to help resolve the problems or concerns of our customers. The greatest reward is the heartfelt thank you and appreciation the customer has for your help. I am so proud to be part of this company and what we are providing.
Outside of work I am a mother and a wife. My daughter just turned 4 and my husband and I celebrated our 5th wedding anniversary. We spend the majority of our free time together as a family. With my daughter’s endless energy and her spirited imagination, our time together is always an adventure. We’ll go on pirate ships to save a princess or racing zebras in Africa. Keeps things very interesting!

Hi. I’m Jan and I work part-time in Customer Service at Discount Ramps.Com. I have been with Discount Ramps.Com since March of 2009 and I enjoy my job very much. One of the greatest aspects of my job is that I get to speak with customers from all over the country. I really enjoy this and since we have many repeat customers, I get to know some of them on a more personal level.
My job is varied so no two days are ever the same. One call I may help someone pick out a wheelchair ramp. The next call may be helping a customer select the best pet ramp. I absolutely LOVE to receive pictures from my customers showing their pets “in action” with our products! I get a lot of satisfaction out of my job knowing I have helped someone each day.
Some of my interests outside of work are reading, traveling, meeting friends at the local YMCA, going to local music festivals and sporting events, and being a “taxi” to my two teenage children.
