Here at Discount Ramps.com we understand how important it is to be active and more importantly be active with family and friends. dog bike trailer the Pet-trailer-1. This is the perfect add on to any bike as it will allow avid bike riders to safely bring their pets with them around town.
What makes this new pet trailer unique is the fact that it is extremely easy to attach and detach from almost any bicycle once the “bike hitch” is installed on to the rear tire axle. Once this is accomplished, the pet trailer frame will be able to snap together with the hitch post with a few pins. The installation and setup of the trailer takes just a few short minutes all together. The dog trailer is strong enough to carry medium to larger sized dogs along with many other pets or animals that are similar in stature. One thing to note is that all of the required installation hardware and pins are included with the purchase of this bike trailer which will allow it to be attached to almost any bike frame and axle. The hitch itself is made of a strong metal and comes with rubber inserts. These rubber inserts will prevent your bike from acquiring any damages from the use of the hitch and bike trailer linking system. At this point since the product is brand new to our dog bike trailer product line this model is only available in the red color as picture below. We have chosen to offer this color as red has always been very popular and because red is bright this bike trailer will be more visible to others adding to the security of you and your pet while traveling in low lighting conditions. (The trailer also is equipped with front and rear reflective patches for additional visibility.)
Here are a few quick specifications for this new dog bike trailer…The over all dimensions are 55″(L) x 30″(W) x 34″(H). The carriage area for the Pet-trailer-1 is 29.5″(L) x 22″(W) x 24″(H). The space provided by this bicycle trailer will be plenty of room for your dog or other pet. Another great feature of the Pet-trailer-1 is that it comes with an removable clear plastic cover for the front door. This is great protection in case you drive over muddy areas or if it starts to rain/drizzle. Speaking about the front door…The front door also has a zippered mesh screen to provide a clear view for the dog or other pet while keeping them safely restrained inside the trailer to prevent any quick unwarranted exits. The back, right, and left sides are also designed with the same mesh material. The difference is the right and left do not unzip. The mesh material is perfect for maximum ventilation. Also, because the zippered meshed screen is see threw. It makes it easy for you to check up on your dog. For easy storage and quick transportation the Pet-Trailer-1 has quick releasing pins to remove the wheels. The dog bike trailer folds up quickly and easily. This will save you time and space. We have just added another small pet carrier design to our existing dog carriers section of DiscountRamps.com. The new fabric pet carrier bag is the same as our PCB-R and PCB-B model of dog carriers the main difference is the graphic design on this new pet carrier bag is red with Teddy Bears scattered across it. The model number for this new PCB design is PCB-RED. Everything about this pet carrier is exactly the same as the other two models except for the exterior graphics. For instance, the bag still offers a zipper that zips fully closed to offer maximum protection and concealment of the dog or pet inside of it. Not only that but the bag is equipped with the standard stretchy restraint collar/leash to restrain the pet from making any unexpected or accidental exits from the carrier bag. To view some of these features see the image below, however, note that the image pictured is the PCB-B model of pet carrier totes. The new model dog purse has the Teddy Bear graphics on it which is also pictured below.

Remember that whenever you are ordering pet stairs to pay close attention to the total height of the stairs so that the top of the last step will be at the level of your couch, chair, vehicle, etc… The reason behind this is for a smooth transition onto the other surface as majority of the pet stairs have a carpet surface so when your pet goes to step off this harder more stable/firm surface on to let’s say a couch if it is not a very level transition they may get scared or feel unstable.
If you’re in the market for the most popular and lightest pet stairs we are confident you will find the ultralite pet stairs to be the best option. However, if you’re looking for a more designer style look you will want to see our wooden bed pet stairs as we offer two models a standard and decorative stair.

We have recently started stocking a new 8 foot long dog ramp. The part number for this dog ramp is the DR-08. We decided to start selling this 96″ long aluminum dog ramp mostly because of the high demand from our customers for a ramp longer than the 7′ (which used to be the longest pet ramp available). The DR-08 has comes fully equipped with all the standard features. For instance, it is manufactured out of aluminum so it is designed to last for years because aluminum does not rust. Not only that but because it is made of aluminum the total weight of the ramp is very minimal(26lbs). The fact that it is so light weight makes this extra long 8′ dog ramp ideal for assisting pets into higher spaces while not sacrificing the ramp’s ability to be portable. Speaking of portable, the DR-08 is a folding ramp too. It will fold the length in half and allow you to carry it with it’s built in “suitcase” style handle.
UPDATE: a New 18.25″ wide, 8 foot long dog ramp has been announced and will be available in mid-May 2007- part # DR-08XW. This will be the longest, widest dog ramp available anywhere!
