The Standard Canoe Foam Blocks are designed specifically to work with Yakima series roof cross bar systems, and the Universal Canoe Foam Blocks for all pre-installed factory cross bars.
This system works with both round and square cross bars to firmly hold one single canoe in place on the roof of your vehicle. This kit includes the blocks with protective pads and straps as well as hooks and tie downs for complete canoe stability. The square foam blocks fit almost all hulls and gunwale styles. The integrated system includes BowStern tie-downs and heavy-duty straps, the straps provide extra stability. The BowStern tie-downs engage with an easy to use ratcheting pulley that uses sliding plastic tubes to protect your vehicles roof from damage from friction. Each foam block is laminated and “super-grippy” to keep a firm hold on the canoe while the anti-skid pads protect the vehicle roof. A reusable mesh bag stores these blocks away when not in use.
