Each one of our steel roof bars is made from a high quality carbon steel and clamps to existing vehicle side rails to add a crossbar system to vehicle roof racks. Each of the adjustable roof bars feature rubber coated clamps that work with a key lockable knob and wing nut system. The adjustable clamps work with your existing rails and allow up to 200 evenly distributed pounds to be stored on the roof of your automobile, while. The RB-1004 steel carbon roof bars measures 48.5 inches in length, 1.5 inches in width, and 1 inch in height, and each bar weighs eight pounds for a combined total of 16 pounds. Since these roof bars attach to your side rails, the side rails should be 1 inch to 7.25 inches in maximum width and 1.5 inches high.
