Hitch adapter DRH-1 is a dual trailer hitch that allows you to tow your favorite toy while having a safe and secure spot for a rack or cargo carrier. Each one of these trailer hitch extensions has a 400 pound tongue weight. DRH-2 is a hitch riser that converts your 1.25 inch hitch to a two inch hitch that raises or drops the hitch by 3.5 inches. DRH-3 is made for a 2 inch receiver that you want to give a 4.5 inch raise or drop. Each adapter is welded to the extension for a sturdy and safe connection. We recommend that you follow all safety guidelines for this product.
Discount Ramps item number DRH-1 is the dual hitch adapter that lets your hitch be used for double purposes. How this hitch works is you use the bottom hitch to tow your trailer with, and the top one can be used to install a bike rack or any other hitch accessories like a folding hitch step or a Hitch mounted cargo carrier. This trailer hitch adapter is made from steel and features a 400 pound tongue weight. For you, this means a 4000 pound weight capacity. To use this hitch adapter, you must have a class three or four trailer hitch. Using this receiver hitch adapter not only allows you to tow your toys, but also safely carry your favorite items without taking up in-cabin space. The DRH-1 hitch is very easy and safe to install and has a 6-1/4 inch rise.
Discount Ramps item number DRH-2 is the hitch riser/drop adapter! It features a a high quality solid tube construction and converts you trailer from 1-1/4 inch and rises or drops the hitch by 3.5 inches depending on which way you install this hitch adapter. In the process, it converts your 1.25 inch receiver into a 2 inch receiver. With the solid, main tube construction this adapter extension weighs only 8 pounds and is 12 inches in total length. The rise or drop of the extension is securely welded to the hitch adapter and is 6.25 inches in length; the rise or drop of the hitch adapter is 3.5 inches. From the adapter extension locking pin hole to the hitch lock pin hole, it’s 6.25 inches for the first hole and the second hole is an inch and a half behind the first one. We recommend that you use our silent hitch pin, as it keeps your trailer secure and rattle free. Using this adapter makes it easier for you, and takes the mess out of the miss-match configurations you otherwise see.
The DRH-3 is a lot like DRH-2 but instead of a 3.5 inch rise or drop it’s 4.5 inches for a 2 inch hitch receiver. The DH3 is constructed from a quality solid tube steel and is powder coated black so the paint lasts tow after tow. The rise/drop of the hitch extension is 4.5 inches, while the length of the hitch adapter in total is 12inches. The lock pin hole on the adapter part of the hitch is 6.5 inches from the hitch lock pin hole. This set up weighs 16 pounds and is a hassle free set up that is easy to install and gives you plenty of clearance in your drop or rise.
Every one of these hitches comes with a one year warranty. These hitch adapter extensions will not increase the overall towing capacity or tongue capacity of the trailer hitch on your vehicle. We recommend that you follow the towing capacity that is rated for your vehicle under any circumstances. Do not use more than one adapter on your trailer hitch at a time. These adapters should not be used with weight balancing hitches. Discount Ramps suggest that you never weld or modify the hitch adapter for any reason.
