With this carrier, you can haul motorcycles up to 800 pounds and rely on a durable and stable carrier without having to use a trailer. This Heavy Duty Cam-Loc motorcycle carrier is constructed from an all welded steel that is powder-coated back and features an extra large diameter cross brace tubing that gives it even more stability when hauling your bike. The hitch mount sport bike carrier has many features; the most notable one is the integrated cam lock device that gets rid of the hitch wobble. Simply put, cam-loc is wedged behind the hitch pin and tightens the space in the hitch to help disguard hitch wobble. This carrier has two great products that are not included, but can be purchased separately. The first is light tabs, which are LED lights. Discount Ramps model number SD-02044 is one pair of three inch LED lights, and they are welded to the carrier, and the wiring is run through the tubing to keep it out of the way and sheltered from whatever elements.
Having big meats on the back of your motorcycle is not a worry with the Joe Hauler carrier, as the 10 inch wide rear channel/section will give you all the space you need. The carrier also features two 36 inch tie-down bars to help provide easy and safe tie-down points for your bike. The 36 inch bars allow you to have four points at which it is safe to tie down your bike. We recommend checking out our tie-down straps if you do not have them. With a track length of 78 inches, a overall length of 84 inches, and a weight capacity of 800 pounds, the Joe Hauler motorcycle carrier is perfect for those of you who want to travel with your automobile and bike but do not want to haul a trailer. The length of the ramp itself is seven feet long and has a 8 inch rung spacing. The track width is 10 inches out back for those of you with wide tires and tapers to 7 inches in the front; all of this only weighs 95 pounds. The Joe Hauler works only with class III or greater 2 inch receiver hitches, but it must be frame mounted. We recommend you use a class IV or V hitch. The center of the hitch pin hole to the center of the channel is 25 inches. You will not have to assemble this item when it arrives, and it comes with a three year manufacturer’s warranty and is made in the USA.
The Joe Hauler JH05 heavy duty carrier is great for bikes around 800 pounds or less. But, it does have some limitations that we would like you to take note of in case you’re in need of a larger motorcycle carrier. Most class III hitches are only rated for 500 pounds, which is why we recommend class IV and V hitches, as they are rated for 1000 plus pounds. The weight you may want to haul may be limited by your vehicle’s load carrying capacity; we recommend you ask your dealer if you cannot find what the towing capacity is. Also, some of the vehicles may require heavier rear springs to help stabilize the vehicle’s suspension and prevent the rear of the car from sagging. This item will not work with Class II and lower receivers, and we DO NOT recommend extensions or anything else that is not a class III and above hitch. Finally, the motorbike hauler will not ship to a house; it will only ship commercially.
