I was doing some reading recently about the shopping habits of people who buy online…Which means just about all of us these days, but I wanted actual facts and statistics, so I decided to do a bit of searching.  I was hoping to find something specific about the mindset of people who shop sales and clearances, figuring this is a “type” of shopper with their own unique set of twitches and triggers.

I have a sister who is definitely that type. With everything. She finds unbelievable discounts on clothing for her kids, entertainment coupons galore, even half off a 50 pound bag of the best oatmeal I’ve ever eaten (50 lbs!). She works very, very hard at finding those deals, and she succeeds.online-shopping-photo

While I did unearth some interesting information, I was unable to find that single, awesome infographic that sums up at a glance the psyche of the bargain hunter. What I found instead was research revealing details like this:

Apparently, men respond much more frequently to a price that is listed in the color red. Not sure if that translates to prices listed on a website (vs. in-person signage at a brick and mortar), but I thought that was interesting.

Or graphs illustrating that Kuwait is the e-shopping leader in the Middle East and North Africa.

And you wouldn’t believe the crazy, spaghetti bowl flow charts that mapped out processes I couldn’t even begin to explain.

If you are already shopping on DiscountRamps.com, I encourage you to stop at our great Clearance Center.  Havent had a Bike in about 2 years since I sold my 04 GSXR :( but I finally got another bike, little bit of a fixer upper so I needed a good set of stands to go with it!
In my quest to build the most awesomest ever rr on a tight budget, there was no way I was going to spend the big bucks for pitbull stands. Ive used them before, and they are nice but I think they are too expensive.

I picked up these Black Widow stands from DiscountRamps.com. They sell lots of cool ramp/stand type accessories for bikes, Ive used them before for a couple ramps. Always had good luck with their stuff. When i saw that they were now offering Bike stands at a reasonable price I had to jump on it! 1 piece construction, nice heavy pipe and a nice powdercoating.

They make a couple different flavors, but I got the front (BW-06) and the rear (BW-14) for 89 + 34 shipping. Not a bad deal, and it got here in only 3 days!

Id recommend them to anyone, currently they are a 10/10 and have exceeded my expectations. We’ll see how they hold up to the abuse…

Discount Ramps recently added another motorcycle jack to our existing dirt bike motorcycle jack products. The new jack is called the RIDE-ON-MX-LIFT and it is specifically designed for allowing a dirtbike to be driven on to the jack thus allowing the rider to utilize their feet to quickly engage and lift the bike without the tedious setup that is typically associated with most other motorcycle jack systems. The RIDE-ON-MX-LIFT was definitely designed with the rider in mind as it is one of the best solutions for one person to get their dirt bike on a stand.  Below you will find a short video clip of this motorcycle jack and how it is operated.

A few other important things about this motorcycle jack is that the jack itself is made of steel that has been painted/treated with a durable black powder coat finish. The top of this jack, where the dirt bike will rest, is equipped with an injection molded rubber pad surface to protect the steel and its powder coat finish from being damaged by the bike from years of lifting and jack usage. Below you will see a close-up image of the rubber surface.

Another feature of this motorcycle jack is the detention pin system that allows the lift to be locked in place for extra safety while allowing the handle mechanism to be detached thus allowing the jack to be less bulky and easier to store when not in immediate use. Below, you can see how the pin system works with the handle and the jack stand set in the locked position.

If you are interested in finding out more details about this motorcycle jack (designed for dirt bikes) or if you would like to make a purchase of this jack you can find the full details and features on our main website by viewing the RIDE-ON-MX-LIFT Product Page.
